My thoughts and opinions on the 54mm/60mm Plastic Toy Soldier collecting hobby. Yes I seemingly rant at times and we explained in one of the first posts that we would be. So if you do not like that sort of stuff we suggest you leave NOW. Also look for some thoughts on history, informational posts and a bit of fun stuff from time to time.

New Site, Old Stuff
Timmee Toys seem to be generating a lot of interest lately. PM had a new dealer listed in a recent issue (Virtorybuy..Com) and now we see a Blog!!!! http://timmee-army.blogspot.com. Lots of memories here.

Copy Cat ?
Sometime ago word reached us that P & P had copied a figure produced by Stad's. Well, isn't that what a lot of the products were from P & P ? Copies ??? They (Stad) are quite picky when copying anything they deem to be their property such as photos. A short time ago they took a UK dealer to task for using one of their photos.
Well now it seems the tables have been turned as evidenced by the photo above. Which we are told is a Reamsa figure that was produced well before the figure Replicants was commissioned to do by Stad. We do not have a copy of the P and P figure that started the debate.
Wonder if we will ever get the true story

Baby it is Cold Outside!
Seems many manufactures are presenting troops in Winter Dress..... Most are metal makers. We plastic collectors have had some great troops in Winter Dress for some time now. Germans US Army and ACW troops! All from TSSD. Check them out!!!

Scale aka Girth now ?
I got a copy of some PM reviews in which the new TSSD Cowboys were listed as a Large 64mm !!!! Wow another item off my Want List. Oh yes, the photo for comparison of a Marx Cowboy and a TSSD Cowboy leaning or bent over was of no use.
The review section further lists the TSSD Roman era figures at Super 60mm scale (?) I do not care for this era at all.
A review by PM of the NEW CTS Germn sets turned up the word "Girth". We like this application of the term.
"...they look comfortable in height with MARX, if not girth. Perhaps its the secret formula to work with all scales ....."
Hear, Hear PM !!!!
