The manufacturer of the unpainted Custer and Crazy Horse figures has reduced his price from $18.00 to $12.00. Nice move but still a steep price. In all fairness TSSD has always it seems, never tried to rip folks off. The damn Chinese are causing these high prices. As for the figures they are great ....Custer is a little to "Hollywood" for our tastes and Crazy Horse is ok. Scale wise IMHO they are too big.
CTS is also selling this set at the new reduced price.
My thoughts and opinions on the 54mm/60mm Plastic Toy Soldier collecting hobby. Yes I seemingly rant at times and we explained in one of the first posts that we would be. So if you do not like that sort of stuff we suggest you leave NOW. Also look for some thoughts on history, informational posts and a bit of fun stuff from time to time.

2012
A little news has come our way but most of you will say I already know that but here goes. HAT is working on WW2 German Supply Wagons ? We cant confirm this but if true we hope the end price isn't any where near the price Italeri (did we spell that right ?) got for their Napoleon era supply wagon.
Of course Replicants will do something in 2012. And TSSD will without a doubt continue to produce. Look for releases in their new "EARP" line.
That is it for now. We hope to have more later.

Steep
The new Earp set from TSSD will reportedly be $16.00 less then the original resin sets. But hey that is still almost $5.00 a figure!!! Kinda pricey to our way of thinking for just four (4) figures.

Scales. I guess we do stick to 1/32. Maybe we will cover 1/72 someday.

Pet Peeve
The British Artillery did not wear blue uniforms during the campaign to rescue Gordon. I know they can be painted and all that but it seems folks still want a little more accuracy.

Prices
We reported that a manufacturer/dealer had failed to produce some new cowboys in resin due to cost but was going to do them in plastic. We find the price of $20.00 for 4 figures a bit much if in fact true.
The guy who owns HAT must have deep pockets. Must be nice to produce all the sets he does and to us it seems he does them on a whim. All those sets of tank riders ??? Now he seems to have touched on the French and Indian War (SYW) We hope he covers the American side of the conflict too.
Lastly "King of Plastic" still has yet to produce a thing in quite some time. He does continue to turn out metal sets. He has even offered an excuse.
Kudos to CTS for their new plastic figure sets and to Replicants.
We are told not to look for any more new MARX re-issue figures sets from Hobby Bunker as he used all the figure molds.
Imex/Accurate forget about it
Paragon is still on track and should have new sets in 2012.
That wraps up what we have been told.
Happy Holidays
