Can it be done ?

Can a set of  "AMERICAN CAVALRY HORSE SOLDIERS"
actually be made that will span a period of 20 yrs with out looking too much like Civil War or Indian War Cavalry ? To many this will no doubt mean a lot. IMHO they cannot.  We will see come this Fall.

Theres the problem. No webbing cartridge belts for 1876. Too large floppy hats and shirt sleeves for the CW.
At least a few new poses. TSSD needs some separtate heads available for conversion.

I under5stand that many sewed loops on their belts. WHat year did such belts become "issue" ? Can not seem to pin a year down with the books I have here.

What ever they had in 1876, web issue or adaptions, and both were available, the TSSD figures aren't wearing them.

One last question regarding 1870-1880 accouterments for the Cavalry. Was the Dyer pouch the most common for Cavalry
