My thoughts and opinions on the 54mm/60mm Plastic Toy Soldier collecting hobby. Yes I seemingly rant at times and we explained in one of the first posts that we would be. So if you do not like that sort of stuff we suggest you leave NOW. Also look for some thoughts on history, informational posts and a bit of fun stuff from time to time.
We are hearing reports that IMEX model company is no more. Imex had some fine ACW figures as well as the molds for Accurate figures. We are further informed that an EBAY seller has them in bags labeled Vinny Toys ?? or IMEX Billy ?
IMEX horses are pretty good. The CW figures aren't too bad. They were smart to issue artillery horse teams in black and brown. Their 54mm Mexicans lancers, mounted and dismounted were just awful! Horses for the lancers were not too bad but in brittle plastic.
Loved the horses. Friends in Florida went to the factory and were allowed to buy some of the remaining stock which was all loose in huge bins. They saw CONTE Mexicans there also. Strange.
