My thoughts and opinions on the 54mm/60mm Plastic Toy Soldier collecting hobby. Yes I seemingly rant at times and we explained in one of the first posts that we would be. So if you do not like that sort of stuff we suggest you leave NOW. Also look for some thoughts on history, informational posts and a bit of fun stuff from time to time.
Did I mention this already ? I dont know how this got by me. A manufacturer of Plastic 54mm figures who apparently been around quite awhile sells a set of the ACW Irish Brigade in......green plastic (sigh).
Like my peeve about a well-known manufacturer turning out 1/32 British Rev War artillery in red plastic!!!
I guess you have to paint the whole figure to get the shade of blue in the coat right anyway, but still, it does not take a lot of research to find out that the Royal Artillery wore blue coats!
I agree. Another manufacturer just did some of his Colonial Brits in RED due to collector demand. He must really love his customers. I would have told them paint the ones not in red.
